10 S/S trends Im shopping pt 2

I know this part 2 is long overdue as we have made our way to the summer months.. but I wanted to share some trends and themes I plan to wear or add to my wardrobe for the upcoming summer session. As always start in your closet first and if something interests you shop the links!

6. Set it off!

Give me all the summer sets please! I am in the less is more era and quite frankly its too hot to even think about what I am going to wear. My summer looks will consist of mostly sets due to comfort, functionality, and the fact it always gives a polished look. When investing in sets, always go for higher quality fabrics, as you can use them year round… yes even short sets. For summer linen and ribbed knit are great fabric choices. Be sure to pick colors and or prints that will work seamlessly with your style personality and wardrobe.

Universal tip- stick with vertical or small scale prints, wide leg pants are golden!

7. Clearly

There is something so sexy yet chic about a sheer, or translucent clothing. Its like a teaser, but a way to play up some jeans, skirt, or as bottoms to an oversized tee, shirt dress or button up. I actually have 3 sheer tops that I will be rotating and considering these pants I found (linked below on amazon). Clear shoes may not be a thing for some… but they always keep me from buying multiple color pumps. sheer shoes just gets your entire wardrobe especially for spring and summer colors.

Universal tip- pick a top or the bottom….be sure to wear proper undergarments that play up and elevate the look.

8. Mettalic Me Please!

Metallic in my opinion has become a staple for many.. it’s just more options now as you can see above. I feel like shoes are the best bet for those who are more conservative or not too sure about the trend, but by all means metallic should definitely be embraced. Shop a few metallic selections that I believe can seamlessly go with any wardrobe.

Universal tip: Let the metallic item be the star of the outfit… keep everything else simple , and most importantly have fun with it!

9. Stack em up!

This summer feels like it’s going to be too hot for clothes so may as well play up your jewels. Now more than ever you have to ability to take more risk and really start to style and play up your jewelry. I love that the stacking trend can be done with neck wear, anklet stacks, ear stacks, ring stacks and more. I’ve curated  some accessories that I think would make some great summer pickups.

Univesral tip: go for different sizes like chunky chains with skinnier onnes, mix textures, and gems. Your can go stack crazy here. Check out JULIA VAUGHN on Ig, she has a lot of great jewelry styling tips as well as great jewels!

10. Clogged!

Ok i know i may lose some of you with this one lol… but I have been waiting on the perfect clog/mule. I wanted a cute dressy lax flat , that I could wear to work for style and comfort. I wanted another option besides sandals and sneakers to run errands. Many may consider this a fall/ winter shoe, but find a good quality leather that can work year round.

consider these clogs!
